Six CBE employees charged of fraud

2b76c283Commercial bank of Ethiopia’s Addis Ketema branch six employees are charged of withdrawing 482, 000 Br from a certain customers account using an account they have created with a fake ID card. As the Reporter newspaper writes, the federal ethics and anti corruption commission’s prosecutor charged six of the bank’s employees named Hailemicheal Hailu, Suleiman Sani, Temesgen Lemi, Girma Werkie, Belay Taye and Molla Amsalu for a high level fraud.

One of the suspect, Hailemicheal Hailu is reported to have used the secret computer password to withdraw a total of 482, 495.45 Br from an account of a customer named Gemechu Adam.

All of the suspects are put into custody and tomorrow on July 07, 2014 they will appear in court to hear their charge.
