Gilgel Gibe III will Become Operational on September 2014
Ethiopian water, irrigation and energy minister, Alemayehu Tegenu announced that 80% of the construction of the Gilgel Gibe III Hydroelectric power station has been completed.
Therefore, the power station that generates 1,870MW of Power will begin generating power on September of next year, 2014.
In addition to this, currently, the construction of the 254MW power generating Genale Hydroelectric power station and the Adama 2nd Electic power generating wind farm are moving with a good pace.
