Ethiopia has got 32 mln USD from electric power sell

Ethiopian ministry of water, irrigation and energy announced that the country has got 32 mln USD in the past nine months from an electric power sell to neighboring countries. Ethiopian foreign ministry’s spokesman Dina Mufti said that Ethiopia is engaged in connecting Eastern African countries through electric power network, road and train transport. In this regard, he mentioned the Ethio-Djibouti railway line. Water, irrigation and energy minister Ato Alemayehu Tegenu said that the country is generating electric power from water, wind and steam sources.

He also said that preparations are underway to sell power to Yemen through Djibouti and recently an electric power sell will be started to South Sudan and Somali.
